Okay, to understand the differences here, we have to go back into history a little bit.
The word DILDO has an Ancient Greek origin. So, to say that a DILDO must vibrate is, well, balls. Did they have batteries back in the day? No. Some how, among the years and years that these toys have existed, the term "DILDO" is now used to describe any type of sex toy. That's almost like calling every type of tissue a Kleenex though. Because DILDOS are dildos and DONGS are dongs. Vibrators can be used as a dildo and they can be used the way you would use a dong but they have a little bit more to them.
A DONG is a penis shaped object, most have balls and a base but some don't have to, that you insert into your body for sexual satisfaction. Some, like a double dong for example, wouldn't have balls or a base.
A DILDO is a phallic shaped toy that can be inserted into the vagina or the anus for sexual stimulation. It may or may not vibrate. However, it needs to be phallic shaped. There are some toys out there that have rabbits and shit on top of them but then the long phallic shaped shaft for insertion. These are combo toys. Obviously because, well, they do a combination of things. It's a vibrator and a dildo all in one. In short, all DONGS are DILDOS, not all DILDOS are DONGS and some DILDOS are VIBRATORS but not all VIBRATORS are DILDOS.
A VIBRATOR, however, can look like anything from a rabbit, to a dolphin, to a small bullet to a wonky shaped lumpy and bumpy beady looking thing.

My point? If it's strictly for clitoral stimulation? It's not a dildo. Don't send me a picture of a blue clit stimulator (let's face it, we all know the answer to this riddle, right? You know what one I'm talking about?) and try to pass it off as a dildo. Even if it's purely a g-spot finder, it doesn't really fit into the category as DILDO. Usually those aren't "phallic" shaped. And honestly? If you find a guy that has a dick shaped like one of those things (see that pink/light pink hoosey-whats in that picture up there that looks like a fucked up turd? that's more of a gspot/pspot pleaser), please first snap a picture. Then? Run. Because something's seriously wrong wit him.
In short, all DONGS are DILDOS, not all DILDOS are DONGS and some DILDOS are VIBRATORS but not all VIBRATORS are DILDOS.
